Cleaning your bathroom can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. With a few simple ingredients, you can get your bathroom fixtures clean in minutes without a bunch of harsh chemicals. Let me show you how to clean your bathroom sink, faucet and showerhead with little effort and make them function like new!
How to Clean a Bathroom Faucet and Showerhead
When cleaning your bathroom sink, you need to go a few steps further than just wiping down your sink and faucet. It's really important to get your faucet super clean along with your sink. Same goes for your showerhead and bathtub faucet. Over time, mildew and calcium can build up in your faucet and showerhead jets causing them to spread bacteria and clog so they don't work properly. To get your showerhead and faucets clean, you only need a baggie, some vinegar and a rubber band to get them sanitized and working like new! Check out this post I wrote on How to Clean Your Showerhead, and use the same method to clean your faucets as well.
How to Clean Your Kitchen Sink
Once you get your faucet clean, it's time to clean your sink! The absolute best way to clean your sink whether it is in your bathroom or kitchen is with my favorite homemade sink and tub scrub. It only has two ingredients and works better than anything I've ever bought in a store. The best thing is, you can also use it to clean your bathtub, glass or ceramic stovetop and even pots, pans and sheetpans! It's a miracle cleaner! You literally just sprinkle it all over your sink, take a damp scrub pad and rub it in using a circular motion, then rinse and wipe down with a dry, clean cloth! It removes stuck on toothpaste, soap, hairspray and other hair products and it smells like an orange grove...it's just amazing! You can find the easy recipe for this versatile homemade cleaner below or use your favorite store bought cleaner like Softscrub, Comet or Barkeeper's Friend.

Pour 1 cup of baking soda into a jar or bowl and mix in 15-20 drops of orange essential oil. Place in an airtight container with a lid and shake vigorously. I like to store mine in a glass jar and top with a shaker lid. If you don’t have a shaker lid, you can use a hammer and a nail to tap holes in a metal jar lid or just spoon out what you need each time.
If you love the labels that I have on my homemade cleaners, you can download and print my Free Printable Labels for Homemade Cleaners HERE! I print mine at home on sticker sheets, but you can also print them and add them to your cleaning bottles and jars using Contact paper or send them to a store like Staples to have them printed.
